A bioluminescent organism found off the coast of Japan. In World War II it was harvested to use as a light source for Japanese soldiers needing to read at night.

Scientist Mohamed Babu from Mysore, India captured beautiful photos of these translucent ants eating a specially colored liquid sugar.
